The E-services Portal at the Ministry of Finance is currently providing two types of services:

The Integrated Financial System is a financial system which serves all governmental units, with a database that contains all government's financial statements such as the approved budget, the revised budget, expenses, revenues and developmental budget. It also contains data of the various bonds such as bonds of exchange, receipt, registration and settlement bonds as well as purchase orders' data. The Department of Information Technology at the Ministry issues daily, monthly and yearly reports of the system, such as the daily reports of the treasury or the monthly closings reports of the Department of Public Accounts or the annual reports to prepare the annual budget of the Directorate General of Budget and Contracts. These reports are reviewed and audited by competent departments before taking necessary actions on them.
Amendments and additions to the system are performed by a professional team from the Systems Development Department under the supervision of the head of the team.
The technical support section also supervises the master device [Mainframe] and security of data. The (EGL) is the programming environment used by the system while (DB2) is the database used.
The HR system has a database which contains data of all employees subject to civil service Law, from the starting date of their appointments until the end of their service. The employee is assigned to the system after the confirmation of approved budget and grade vacancies' data. If the employee is Omani, the system stores data of base salary, bonuses and pension fund deduction immediately after approval of the appointment data. The system also contains data on the employee's training and qualifications. As for the kinetic data of the employee, there is a file that contains information on allowances, deductions, promotions, transfers, end of the service and changes of job title, etc. The Information Technology Department's system issues daily / monthly / yearly reports, such as daily reports of modifications, daily movements of the employee's salary, monthly reports for salaries or annual reports to review the increments of the employees of all ministries subject to the Civil Service Act towards reviewing, auditing and taking the necessary measures for the payment of salaries.

The SGV has a database containing all vehicles' data from the starting date of their purchase till their data is canceled. All vehicles' details are entered and approved. Data of the daily movement of the vehicles are entered along with data of periodic service, maintenance and fuel card in order to calculate the distance traveled and the cost of maintenance and fuel consumption. You may cancel the data of any vehicle from the system and use its plate number for another vehicle. The system contains a set of reports showing the number and brands of vehicles in every government entity, the periods of their use, and other necessary data.
